What is the meaning of happiness? Empty What is the meaning of happiness?

According to popular belief, happiness is a positive state of mind. And then, some say it is connected with how satisfied you are with your life.
There are also people, who think happiness does not exist at all - for them, it is merely an illusion.
I would argue the last one, since most people, even those who developed manic depression, have been happy at some point in their life - wether you would describe it as being satisfied with your life or as a positive state of mind. A feeling is something you can touch and hold, within you - it cant be looked upon as an illusion by the person who is experiencing it. Yes, it can be subjective when other people are involved to judge if a person is happy or not. But they cant really determine it. That is all up to yourself - even a whole society cant tell you that - they can be wrong, there are different societies with various standards for a happy life. One perfect truth does not exist.
When you look at everything that happens around you as an observer - you will see that first, there is a certain propaganda, to cause so-called abnormal occurences among people. And when they are affected by it, they become ill - and need to be cured. How bizarre?
First there are unhealthy looking models everywhere, obesity is shunned, but if a person gives up to the pressure, develops anorexia or has heart problems, caused by too much exercise then it is them, who are ill. And need to be cured.
Lets repeat that, society dictates a norm by the help of the media, and when people try to act like they fit into the norm, they are suddenly abnormal?!
It is the same with everything - promoting guns, violence. An example from the kindergarten: the teachers let boys fight and dont interfere, even if they are mostly bullying one child. When that child who learned that violence is okay, hits one of the teachers who let others bully him, and happened to be pregnant, then it is that boys fault. He is not normal and needs psychiatric help? Really? I dont think so. Even if he receives the so-called help, how can he be cured when he goes back to the kindergarten and learns once again, that violence is perfectly fine.
Who are actually the sick ones? The weak individuals who surrender to the propaganda or those behind it? How are people supposed to know what is right or wrong in any other way then by learning from their own experiences? There is no sign below the pictures of fashion magazines and posters, that says "being extremely underweight is also a serious health risk" or that "clothes are no investment"! Or a warning that "the 1000 dollar dress you see will be worthless and out of fashion the next month"!
I am always thinking that everytime I see how people struggle in order to fit in. They are still not perfect or doing  something wrong, despite and ironically mostly thanks to these efforts. And it makes people desperate. According to my understanding, a person should know the laws that regulate the society, pay the taxes and get a job. Other then that it is up to them - how much they eat, what they wear and especially what they think or believe. No one should tell other people what they should think. Also no relgion has been proven to be true. There are no perfect beauty standards or ways to get rich. Of course there are things that need to be regulated but other then that, everyone is free. Why not use that freedom, to seek the knowledge within ourselves in order to be happy? Because others cant tell us what needs to be done. The truth is every person holds the key for their own happiness.

Thank you Astarte!!
True HaPpiness is not dependent on circumstances.
We must find it within.
Looking to the world, (in its current condition) for validation, is a form of insanity for sure!
